Interdisciplinary Content Review Works
The open access Pre-Med Village Content Review covers the AAMC topical goals thoroughly, but in an interdisciplinary way. The course follows a spiraling curriculum in which physics concepts are pre-positioned to help the understanding of chemistry, and the physical sciences unfold as a foundation for biochemistry. Instead of simply recapitulating disconnected topics, interdisciplinary content review remediates scientific ideas in light of each other. Interdisciplinary content review teaches the topics in themselves but also for each other. This approach is much more effective at raising MCAT scores because it aligns with AAMC's Foundations of Living Systems test design. It builds the conceptual imagination for MCAT passages. It's more effective at raising MCAT scores and much more interesting. — John Wetzel
